A Midsummer Night's Dream

AN INTERGENERATIONAL PROJECT

In November 2023, the Jazz Funk Kids from the Lucy Abril Dance Studio had the pleasure of participating in a socio-cultural musical production by the Seefeld Music Theater. "A Midsummer Night's Dream" - a magical realm where reality and fantasy entwine under the ethereal glow of moonlit nights. 

 

Under the direction of Valerie Arias, the performers intertwined the enchanted world of William Shakespeare's classic with timeless sounds from Henry Purcell's opera "The Fairy Queen" and musical melodies from Grease, Hairspray, Kiss Me Kate, and others.

 

In addition to the graceful ladies of the dance group "SemiSeniorinnen Riesbach," who embodied the fairies under the direction of Annalies Preisig, the energy of the Jazz Funk Kids joined in, bringing the court of the stiff, bored queen to life.

 

The costumes for this magical spectacle were designed and crafted by the creative young people from Impulsis.
